"Are you the one that teaches that yoga class on Saturdays?" Someone in my office asked, after looking at the flyer I hanged in the lunch room a couple of weeks ago. "Yes, I am". I answered. "Well, I know I need to stretch but to be honest I am not flexible at all". He confessed. "Well, you do not need to be flexible to do yoga. Flexibility will come with the practice. You just have to be open to connect with your body". I explained. "The important aspect about yoga is relaxation. You will learn ways to relax and bring that into your daily life, your family, your work, your neighborhood, your thoughts and words, your actions". He smiled and he left my desk nodding. Perhaps his head was fully load with that piece of information that would be able to delete that excuse of lack of flexibility. Some others at work seem concerned about the religious part of yoga. Yoga is a simple and yet most wonderful medicine and I will never make you feel unfaithful with your own churches.
Yoga is a way of living. The way of simply being that you will experience by practicing. Everlasting peace and relaxation that's it!
